The media is reporting new robots from time to time, but the best technology in the matter is still the American army, whose automated X-37B has spent over 469 days in space.

The X-37B is an unmanned shuttle project designed by the US Army, which is an extremely important and secret mission. And it has been doing so for more than a year, because the forces boasted that the time spent by the machine in orbit exceeded 469 days.

In 1998, NASA held a tender for a $ 137 million Boeing-brand new shuttle, which immediately won the X-37 design. However, the machine was never launched into space and in 2004 it was transferred to the DARPA laboratories, where for several years development work was carried out to launch the X-37B into space in 2010.

The USA-240 code-named mission began on December 11, 2012 from Cape Canaveral Spaceport. The X-37B was launched into orbit with Atlas V rockets and would return to Earth just like any other shuttle.

It is worth adding that this is already the third mission of this mysterious vehicle. The first began on December 3, 2010 and lasted 240 days. The second began on March 5, 2011 and lasted 469 days, so the latest mission is record-breaking.

I still do not know what the X-37B is.
